Contractor Born at Mumbai in India she was raised in Nigeria from the time she was seven. She'd been exposed to a lot of travel and different cultures at a very young age. The boarding school she attended was in London from seven to nine years of age, and then her family relocated towards Toronto, Canada, where she lived for the bulk of her childhood and young adulthood. Contractor was a classical ballet student in Toronto. She was also a star academically. She was a student at the Etobicoke School of the Arts in Toronto, an arts school focused on dance and theater. Contractor decided to take acting more seriously at age of 16 following almost 10 years dancing. When she completed high school, she won a full Scholarship to University of Toronto. At the University of Toronto she completed a Masters in Theatre and she also double-majored in Psychology and Sociology. Contractor auditioned at the prestigious Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario, Canada, for Pericles. After one full year, she was awarded the lead part. After two weeks of performances, she got praise from the audience. This play was named the top production by Canadian reviewers. She was invited to enroll in Stratford's conservatory. It is a place where only four men and eight females can attend the 20-week crash training in classical theater. Contractor's place in the following production was secured, and she was chosen of Hermia.
